Beautiful Things - Jewelry

Many years ago I learned how to make jewelry through our homeschool group in Texas.  They were very simple pieces made of beads and wire but I really enjoyed having another avenue through which to express my creativity.  Due to the current state-wide quarantine, I dug out my jewelry making supplies to give my restless mind something new to focus on.  So far I have made just a necklace for myself, but I am planning to create more pieces.  Here are some very talented jewelry makers I have come to admire.  My humble beaded jewelry pales in comparison to their beautifully handcrafted works of art.

Cabrina's handmade jewelry has such a unique style and I love watching her behind the scenes videos on Instagram of how she crafts her pieces.

Christine Walsh

A large number of Christine's pieces are inspired by nature.  I especially love this beautiful moth necklace.

These wire-wrapped jewelry pieces are so mesmerizing!  I cannot imagine the amount of patience you must have to wrap such tiny wire!

Crescent+Stone

Minimal and beautiful, Crescent+Stone is owned by the daughter-in-law of one of my friends.  I love the simplicity of her pieces.

Nicole Ringgold

I am so impressed by Nicole's creations!  Everything is hand formed and sculpted, not casted with molds.  One of these days I would love to own one of her sage rings, which you can see in this photo.

I don't remember the first time I saw a piece of botanical resin jewelry, but I have been entranced by them ever since.  Here are some resin jewelry makers I particularly enjoy.

Her little mushroom scenes are so impressive!

I was fortunate enough to win one of her acorn necklaces in a giveaway!

Noah bought on of her fern rings for me for Mother's Day/my birthday last year.

Buttonsy Jewellery

I think Buttonsy was one of the first resin jewelry makers I came across.  Her little Forget Me Not pieces are especially enchanting.

I cannot wait for warm weather and to get to plant this dark red gladiolus again!
